This statement applies to the audio-visual guide at was-zum-gallus.kath-kriens.ch. For the rest of the website of the Catholic Church in Kriens, the privacy policy at kath-kriens.ch/datenschutz applies. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and the associated ordinance. If you are accessing this site from within the EU, the provisions of the GDPR also apply.

The Guide deliberately does not use any analytics or tracking services. We do not set any cookies, do not integrate any advertising or social media services, and do not create user profiles. This is why no cookie banner appears. You can use the Guide without registering or providing any personal data.

All videos and audio recordings are hosted on our own server in Switzerland and are streamed directly from there. There is no connection to YouTube, Vimeo or any other video platforms. No data is transferred to third parties during playback.

When you access the guide, our hosting provider automatically records technical information transmitted by your browser:

• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Page or file accessed
• Browser type and operating system
• Referring website (referrer)

We require this data to ensure secure and stable operation. It is not combined with other data sources and is not analysed for the purpose of identifying individual persons. The log files are automatically deleted. The server is located in Switzerland and is operated by Metanet. No data is transferred abroad.

Data is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS. This can be recognised by the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar. No one can guarantee complete protection against access by third parties when data is transmitted over the internet.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data processed about you (Art. 25 DSG), to have your data disclosed or transferred (Art. 28 DSG) and to have incorrect data rectified (Art. 32 DSG). You may also request that we delete data or refrain from processing it. As we do not store any personal data about you in the Guide, we can generally only provide information about the technical log files, and only for as long as these are available.
